KODAK RK0113 Editorial Review
The KODAK EKTAR H35 Half Frame Film Camera offers a budget-friendly option for those looking to delve into the world of film photography. The "two for one" nature of the half frame format allows for twice as many shots per roll, making it a cost-effective choice for film enthusiasts. The camera delivers enjoyable and stylish photos, particularly in well-lit outdoor settings. It excels in capturing sunny day memories, offering a great use case for this camera. However, in low-light situations, the camera struggles and requires the use of the flash. It should be noted that the flash drains the battery quickly if the "flash on" setting is not manually turned off after use. The lightweight and plastic build of the camera may be less appealing to some users, but it does make it easy to carry around as a secondary snapshot camera. It also comes with a strap for convenience. While the camera is focus-free and easy to use, it is important to note that it only takes half-frame photos and does not have a self-timer. The photos developed from the half-frame format are approximately 29% smaller than full-frame photos, offering a unique and compact aesthetic. Overall, the KODAK EKTAR H35 Half Frame Film Camera provides an affordable and enjoyable film experience, particularly for capturing sunny day memories. However, it may not be suitable in low-light conditions and lacks some features like a self-timer and full-frame capability.
