Fluance Record Players RT83W Editorial Review

The Fluance RT83 Reference High Fidelity Vinyl Turntable has garnered positive feedback from customers, particularly for its sound quality and practical features. Reviewers Consistently praise the warm and rich audio produced by the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge, noting that it performs well across a variety of music genres, from vintage vinyl to high-quality reissues. This aspect of the product seems to be a significant selling point, as users report hearing details in their records that weren't previously noticeable on other models they had owned. Customers appreciate the design simplicity and the convenience of the integrated 33/45 RPM selector switch, which avoids the hassle of manually adjusting the belt. While the aesthetics of the RT83 may not be the most trendy in its price range, users find the build quality to be solid and the overall functionality enhances their vinyl listening experience. Additionally, many customers mention the option to upgrade to the RT85 model, which features a superior cartridge and an acrylic platter, as a worthwhile Consideration for serious audiophiles due to the substantial improvements they would get for the price difference. However, not all feedback is positive. Some users have pointed out minor inconveniences, such as the tendency of the turntable's surface to scratch easily and the unwanted autostop feature. Others have expressed concerns regarding customer service experiences related to technical issues, specifically with the tone-arm damping. Overall, the Fluance RT83 is well-received for its excellent audio performance and user-friendly features, making it a popular choice among vinyl enthusiasts looking for a high-quality turntable at a reasonable price point. **
