UGREEN Editorial Review
The Ugreen M.2 SATA NGFF SSD USB 3.1 enclosure has garnered mixed reviews from users, reflecting both its strengths and limitations. Many customers appreciate the product's overall build quality, noting that it is made from satisfactory materials and feels durable. The transfer speeds have also received positive feedback, with users highlighting decent reading and writing capabilities in comparison to standard USB drives. However, some users have encountered compatibility issues, particularly with M1 Mac devices. They reported that while the enclosure functions correctly with Windows systems—registering higher transfer speeds—Mac users found significant slowdowns, with speeds dropping drastically to USB 2.0 levels. Additionally, those wishing to use SSDs with attached heatsinks faced sizing issues, which hindered usability for some. Despite these drawbacks, the product's attractive design and high-quality USB cable have been appreciated by several customers. In summary, while the Ugreen enclosure excels in build quality and standard performance, potential buyers should be aware of its shortcomings concerning compatibility with certain devices and the limitations of using SSDs with heatsinks. **
