JELLY JELLY GAMES Board Games Editorial Review
**** The card game "Deception" has garnered enthusiastic responses from players, primarily for its engaging social deduction mechanics reminiscent of games like "Werewolf." Many users have praised the variety of gameplay options available, which keeps the experience fresh and exciting for returning players. The game's appeal seems particularly strong among groups composed of adults or older teens, as its complexity appears to be better suited for this demographic, making it difficult for younger players to grasp fully. One of the standout features noted by reviewers is the game's inclusivity; there is no need for a designated host, allowing all players to participate actively. Additionally, players with varying levels of experience can still enjoy balanced gameplay, ensuring that novice players have the potential to win against more seasoned participants. Many reviews highlight the straightforward rules, making "Deception" accessible for players from mid-teens and up, although the game's intricacies may prove challenging for those below middle school age. However, there are some drawbacks to Consider. The most frequently cited issue is the game's bulkiness; the box is quite large, which can hinder portability, particularly during travel. Some players have devised creative solutions to this, such as repacking the components for easier transport, but it remains a noteworthy concern for those wanting to play while away from home. Overall, "Deception" emerges as a standout choice for social detection game enthusiasts, especially for gatherings of friends who enjoy a good mystery. Its blend of strategy and interaction seems to resonate well with various groups, making it a worthwhile addition to any game night lineup. **
