Level Five Games Editorial Review

The "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Complete Edition" has garnered mixed reactions from players, showcasing both enthusiastic praise and notable criticisms. Many players appreciate the evolutionary shift from turn-based combat to an engaging action-oriented style, describing it as a significant improvement in gameplay fluidity and enjoyment. This change, alongside an updated world and beautiful graphics, has made the game feel fresh and engaging for newcomers and returning fans alike. The world design and music elements are especially highlighted, with many enjoying the game's aesthetic and auditory experience. However, players have expressed dissatisfaction with the story, stating it feels shallow compared to its predecessor, lacking the emotional depth and intrigue that made the original title memorable. Some critics have noted that while the game offers various features such as kingdom-building and exploration, the overarching narrative can feel rushed and overly simplistic, impacting engagement levels. Despite its shortcomings, many players find joy in the strategic aspects of combat and the rewarding nature of discovering new weapons and armor through battles. The game's ability to captivate players of all ages, including younger audiences, has been emphasized, with reports of parental competition for gaming time with their children. Overall, "Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Complete Edition" appeals to those seeking charming, RPG adventures and strategic gameplay, but potential buyers should Consider the mixed reviews on the storyline and voice acting before diving in. **
