BANDAI Editorial Review
The Action Base 4 has garnered a mixed reception among customers, showcasing both notable strengths and areas for improvement. Many users appreciate the updated design and functionality of the stand, which has reportedly evolved significantly from previous models. The convenience of the new dial locking mechanism has been praised for better stability, providing a modern touch compared to older versions that required a screwdriver. However, some users have expressed concerns regarding the stand's stability, particularly when displaying heavier models. Although the design allows for diverse display options, including the ability to split the main support into two for showcasing multiple kits, there are warnings about potential issues with balance and the risk of tipping or damage when using heavier kits. Additionally, the thicker dial mechanism may hinder precise angle adjustments, requiring modifications for certain displays. Despite these drawbacks, the quality of the materials is often mentioned as a highlight, contributing to the overall aesthetic appeal of the display stand. The compatibility with various Gundam models, including the ability to connect to different action figures, adds to its versatility. In summary, while the Action Base 4 offers a range of functional improvements and quality craftsmanship, users should be mindful of its limitations regarding stability, especially with larger or more substantial models. **
