Martial Arts Editorial Review

Jiu-Jitsu University is an essential guide for anyone starting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, offering clear explanations and helpful photographs that enhance understanding of techniques. The book is structured by belt color and provides a focused curriculum with chapters emphasizing survival for white belts, escapes for blue belts, and guard mastery for purple belts. Readers appreciate the breakdown of common techniques alongside frequent pitfalls, ensuring that both beginners and instructors benefit significantly. Additionally, while it lacks an index, the rich content and structured approach more than compensate for this. As one reviewer noted, it's a must-have for low-ranking practitioners and teachers alike, making it a standout resource in the world of grappling.
