The module does not include the snap ring. The fuel gauge not working could be resolved by replacing this module as it is a direct fit on a 2005 2500HD Duramax. The module is expensive, but it is a perfect replacement and will last a long time. However, replacing the module may require cutting the quick disconnect fitting off the old pump and using ring clamps or replacing the fuel line if you have a rusty high mileage truck. It can be a challenging task to access the fuel pump, so it is recommended to get the good one to avoid doing it again.
