**** The comic adaptation of “Shimotsuki Likes Mob” has garnered a warm reception from fans and newcomers alike, blending humor, romance, and a unique take on the high school harem genre. The narrative centers around Kotaro, who perceives himself as a 'mob' character amid the protagonist Ryoma's harem, leading to a refreshing self-awareness of his role within the story. This clever reinterpretation offers a fresh lens through which readers engage with the classic trope, as Kotaro's mundane existence is jolted into action by the arrival of Shiho Shimotsuki, a charming classmate who begins to develop feelings for him. Readers praise the comic for its delightful art style that enhances its charm and adds to the overall appeal of the story, with many noting the cuteness of its characters, especially Shiho. The adaptation is said to excel by capturing the essence of the original material while injecting a vibrancy that elevates its appeal. Experiences shared by readers highlight that both fans of the original novel and those new to the series find enjoyment in the storyline, noting how it cleverly subverts typical romantic comedy conventions. However, there are some critiques regarding specific character portrayals, particularly Ryoma's narcissism, which may detract from the reading experience for some. Despite this, the overall narrative trajectory focusing on Kotaro’s character development and the evolving friendships adds depth and intrigue. As readers anticipate future developments, it's clear that the comic succeeds in balancing humor, character dynamics, and romantic tension effectively. **
