    Answer: I would suggest you get a 6 inch flexible blade boning knife for this. Victorinox makes boning knives, as do other manufacturers.

    Answer: I believe Finland but could be wrong. At least that is the country of origin.
  • Question: What is the best blade length to fillet fish?

    Answer: I personally like 6 inches to 8 for fish shorter than 3 feet. 10 or more might be good for fish like a tuna or marlin.
  • Question: How do you sharpen the knife? Is there a specific way?

    Answer: Get a sharpener that has a 'V' looking groove which you run over the blade.

    Answer: Yes it does in a bigger box

    Answer: Yes it cones with a sheath. It’s a great knife.

    Answer: The blade is 6'. The handle is a tick over 4.5'

    Answer: However, this 4' knife is now my go to knife for most of my filleting of fish.

    Answer: Everything involved in cleaning fish will ultimately get slippery.

    Answer: The handle is made of wood. Very nice knife! Usually just wash by hand because it is simple to do.
