Horror Editorial Review

The Universal Horror Collection: Vol.1 is a collection of four classic horror films: The Black Cat, The Raven, The Invisible Ray, and Black Friday. Although three of the films feature both Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff, Black Friday has a minor role for Lugosi. The Black Cat is Considered the best film of the set, with a twisted plot and chilling performance by Karloff, although Lugosi plays the hero. Fans of these films will appreciate the excellent upgraded blu-ray quality and individual discs for each film. However, some reviewers have noted that the picture quality could be better and the price is high for four mostly short films.
